Chicken Soup for the Mother & Daughter
Soul:
The Chicken Soup books are all good, but this is the best one I've read thus far. The stories are a bit deeper, and there are some famous people here who share their experiences--not all good, some embarrassing--in rare moments of confession/epiphany. I realize the book wasn't aimed at readers like me (a man), but I picked it up, started reading, and the next thing I knew, I was buying it. It provides great insight into a relationship men know little about, and explains a lot of the stuff that goes on around the house. I've ordered more to give as Mother's Day presents. It's a fine book, and women will think you're sensitive if you give them a copy. (You're not, of course, but the book will help you fake it.)
Chicken Soup for the Grandparent's Soul:
I just don't know how the Chicken Soup people keep putting out such great books. There are so many of them and each has about 100 stories. Where do they get all of them? Frankly, after having read three others in the series, i didn't expect this one to be special in any way, but it surprised me alot. I found that the stories had such a wide variety of experiences that grandparents have today --- some that my own grandparents could never have had. I found just a few stories to be 'blah', but on the whole, most of the stories were either really touching or made me laugh out loud. I read several aloud to my children on the phone because they reminded me of 5 things that had happened in our house as my kids were growing up. This book is an affirmation of grandparenting.

I picked up "Chicken Soup for the Father's Soul" in an airport bookshop as I departed for a four-day business trip. At the time I traveled very frequently, and I had planned to read a story only occasionally, saving them for those times when my thoughts wandered upon my two sons at home and refused to be redirected elsewhere. However, I found myself reading story after story, and by the time I had returned home, I had finished the book and was giving some of the stories a second read. In the enclosed quarters of an airplane cabin, I found myself unsuccessfully struggling to contain my laughter, nonchalantly wiping tears from my eyes, and silently reflecting upon my own relationships as father and son. Do yourself a favor and pick up a copy sometime. These stories will move you.

I read Chicken Soup for the Couple's Soul. This is the book you want to read if you are looking to cry, laugh, and a lot of comfort and reassurance. If you are a real romantic like me I would definitely recommend reading this book. It tells stories about new beginnings, old lovers, love that last forever, fate, destiny, and more. Some of my favorite love stories are the ones that last forever. It kind of gives me hope that I will find the right man some day and I will have the same kind of love that they talk about. Every story in the book touched my heart, whether it was a death story, lost love, or a reunion, I cried. Many people have read these books and have loved them. So if you have not discovered the Chicken Soup books, I recommend reading one. The thing that I love the most is that they have many different sayings that really make you think about things. One that is my favorite is from 1Cor. 13:2 - I may have all knowledge and understand all secrets, I may have all the faith needed to move mountains - but if I have no love, I am nothing. I think this has a lot of truth to it because nobody ever feels whole unless they are truly loved. This book is for anyone who's ever been in love, is in love now, or hopes to be in love in t the future. So if you want a good book to read with real stories, read Chicken soup for the Couple's Soul.

for the Nurse's Soul is a book long overdue. These stories cannot help but
touch the hearts and souls of all who read it, nurses or not. Nurses will
recognize their own experiences somewhere in these stories, which affirm
the personal nature of nursing and the importance of personal touch
involved in the care of others. The authors have done nursing a wonderful
service in bringing to light the touching, funny, heartfelt anecdotes
